Welcome, 2025! I have some great news and exciting updates. Let’s get into it!
The Historical Romance Project
I’ve made major progress with the historical romance project. The manuscript has gone through professional developmental editing, and I’ll now begin a final round of revisions before preparing for publication. The next steps alongside these revisions are to come up with a title and to create a cover. There will be more details soon as well as a formal reveal. I’m hoping for a release in quarter 2 of this year.
The Science Fiction Project
Since the historical romance project has made so much progress, I’m changing the order of release for these books. The sci fi project will now come out after the historical romance project. It’s currently in a draft state that has been read by beta readers. The next step is to revise based on the feedback from the beta readers and prepare it for professional editing. It’s too early to say when I expect this one to be released, but early 2026 is a safe and realistic guess.
Something New…
Since these novels take so long to plan, write, and edit, I wanted to find a way to fill the gaps in time and give you all something to read while waiting. So, I’m beyond excited to share something new: a series of low fantasy novellas.
Each novella will be a standalone story (some may have a sequel) that’s around 20k words in length. That’s about 1/3rd or even 1/4th the length of a typical novel. This will allow for a quick turnaround time and low costs. I’ll be able to get more stories into your hands.
All of these novellas will take place throughout the history of an original world. Since they’re each a standalone story, there’ll be no need to read them all to understand what’s going on. Instead, they’ll be set up so you can pick and choose the ones that sound interesting to you. Each one will explore a different time period, setting, characters, and plot. The world in which they take place will be similar to our own with minimal to no magic.
I’ve completed the first draft of two such stories. One is a flintlock/Napoleonic fantasy. The other is a traditional sword and shield fantasy. The next steps are to edit and polish them up. I hope to release the first one in quarter 1 of this year. You can expect more details very soon.
As always, thank you for your support. I hope you’re as excited about the books of 2025 as I am.
